What is PBIS?

 

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an approach that creates a safe learning environment where schools can teach expectations to allow for behavioral and academic success for all students.  PBIS uses a tiered intervention system that allows for all students to get the type of support they need in order to be successful in school.  In addition, PBIS helps create positive relationships with every student, teaches expectations in a positive, proactive manner, and helps students build relationships with peers.
